work in progress

About

As a full time PhD student of Atmospheric Science at The University of Manchester I have developed numerical models to study the effect of aerosols on cloud properties. Most recently, I investigated the effect of aerosol phase and composition using aerosol diffusion frameworks, results of which can be found in this article; Maxwell–Stefan diffusion: a framework for predicting condensed phase diffusion and phase separation in atmospheric aerosol.

I graduated from The University of Manchester with a First Class Masters Degree in Mathematics and Physics and combined my undergraduate studies with an athletic career, representing the GB Women's Water Polo team at international competitions, which culminating in becoming a Commonwealth Champion in Aberdeen, 2014. While studying towards my PhD, I was selected to compete at the World University Games in Taipei, 2017, which was an incredible opportunity to compete at the highest level again.

Currently in the final stages of writing my thesis and submitting research papers for publication, and I am looking forward to getting involved in some laboratory experiments in the near future.

Through both my academic and sporting experiences, I have fine tuned my skills as an independent researcher, highlighting my strengths in data analysis and time management, further advancing my computer programming skills and refining my communication skills through presenting seminars, preparing research for publication and leading lectures to undergraduate students. I've had the opportunity to work idependently and as a member of world leading teams. All the while cultivating my passion for learning.

But there is still so much to discover, about the world and myself. So I guess that there is still work in progress.
